A hair transplant is a cosmetic treatment that in most cases involves moving viable hair follicles from the back of the head, or from the sides of the head, to bald or thin-haired areas. At the Poseidon Clinic, we only use the best technology so that we can ensure the best result for all our customers.

In addition to performing regular hair transplants, where hair is moved to thin-haired areas on the head, it is also possible to do both hairline transplants, beard transplants and eyebrow transplants with this procedure.

How does a hair transplant take place?

During the hair transplant, all hair follicles are carefully selected and analyzed. Thus, only the best and strongest hair follicles are used for the transplant. This ensures a nice and natural result.

The Poseidon Clinic uses the latest treatment method in hair transplantation called FUE. When you use the FUE method you only transplant one hair follicle at a time which ensure a much better and more natural result.

In addition, this type of hair transplantation avoids major scarring. It is especially this that has contributed to making the FUE method the most popular treatment for hair loss.

Suitable for both men and women

Our hair transplants are both suited for men and women who want to preserve and not least restore their hair. Hair is a very sensitive subject for most Danes. That is why we are very keen that the treatment takes place in a 100% safe environment, while striving to create a natural looking result.

How long does the treatment take?

A hair transplant at the Poseidon Clinic takes about 6-8 hours. You will therefore be able to go home after the hair transplant is done.

Does a hair transplantation hurt?

The short answer is no! Local anesthetic is used during the procedure which means there will be no pain during the treatment itself. You will only feel a short sting when the local anesthetic is injected.

However, after the transplant, you may experience a sensation of tightening in the neck where the hairs have been taken from. This sensation will not be strong, and you will therefore not experience any nuisance.

Due I lose the transplanted hairs?

The answer here is also no! The reason for this is that the donor areas where the hairs come from are resistant to baldness, and therefore the transplanted hair follicles will almost always produce hair throughout your lifetime due to the hereditary characteristic.

This also means that there is no reason to fear losing the hair that is being transplanted. The new hairs taken from the donor areas are not affected by the DHT hormones, which are the root cause of hair loss for men.

In addition, most people have enough hair on the sides of the head as well as in the neck and therefore the hair from here can be moved to areas with less hair growth without causing the hair to appear thin in the areas where you take the hairs from.

Who performs the treatment?

At the Poseidon clinic, the hair transplant itself is performed by Dr. Minogiannis Polychronis.

Dr. Minogiannis Polychronis has many years of experience with hair transplants and is one of the country’s leading experts in FUE treatments. Dr. Minogiannis Polychronis is therefore particularly experienced in utilizing the precision capabilities of the instruments, enabling him to reconstruct everything from hair whrols to hair hair lines. His many years of expertise is your guarantee of a beautiful and natural result. With the use of less skilled surgeons, we often see that there is a need for a follow-up transplant to get a satisfactory result.

Our specialists are of course approved by the Danish Health Authority.
